About two-thirds of the entire island have been placed in the Virgin Islands National Park and features great hiking trails, secluded coves, and many wonderful beaches. My wife loves orchids and is delighted to point out many of the island’s wild orchids growing on trees and rock outcroppings. While boating around the island, we are always amazed at the clear, turquoise waters and the abundance of fish, turtles, and wildlife.

For drivers and snorkelers, St. John is also paradise. Many reefs are easily reached from the shore, and a number of first class dive operations are available. We have also been impressed with the significant number of excellent restaurants around the island. The quaint French restaurant, Chateau Bordeax, and its sister facility, Asolare, are two of our favorites. Great dining and full spa facilities are offered at the Caneel Bay Resort.
